Caviezel issues a warning about Christianity
“The problem is that modern Christianity has become so weak and useless,” Caviezel, 54, explained to FoxNews. “I mean, Christians today are more afraid of the devil than of God. God could destroy the devil without a glance, but he’s counting on us to make a decision.
Caviezel went on to allege that Americans “don’t want” God in the nation’s religion and universities, which he says has caused “moral decay” in society.
“So you have moral depravity. I mean, moral decay everywhere, collapsing,” he continued. “Laws no longer mean anything. We don’t have a first amendment… Freedom of speech no longer exists. You are absolutely destroyed everywhere, and the media says that everyone is racist.
Caviezel also admitted that he’s considered “controversial” in Hollywood because unlike other celebrities, he’s not afraid to speak his mind.
“Why is it controversial – what am I saying or talking about?” he said. “I guess not all controversial people are bad, but that’s how you’re trained now.”

“I think it’s just a rise in secularism in the United States,” said Arielle Del Turco, deputy director of the Center for Religious Liberty at the Family Research Council (FRC). FoxNews back in April.
“As secularism increases, people understand religion less and less, they have less respect for religion than they might have had decades ago,” she continued. “All of these are increasingly in conflict with fundamental Christian teachings and fundamental Christian beliefs. So the left is becoming more and more intolerant of Christianity for that reason, and I think we’re seeing that even represented physically with these physical attacks on churches.
Del Turco then placed some of the blame for the anti-Christian sentiments directly on President Biden.
“I think even the public discourse – the way President Biden talks about Christians or people who might oppose some of these secular dogmas – creates a really dangerous environment where people feel more and more comfortable going after the churches,” she said.

Caviezel promotes sound of freedom
Caviezel is currently promoting his new hit movie The sound of freedom, which tells the true story of former federal agent Tim Ballard’s battle to combat child trafficking. Many actors have passed on the lead role of Ballard, but the former real-life agent is grateful that the “incredible” Caviezel ended up playing him.
“They passed. And I believe things happen for a reason,” Ballard himself said. “Thank goodness they made it, because Jim Caviezel is amazing. This guy is not only an amazing actor, but he is passionate about it.
Caviezel explained that he chose to make this film because he wanted to be part of projects that have “moral redemption”.
“The purpose that God gave me in this profession, I wanted to bring his light,” he explained. “And that doesn’t mean I’m still his light in an industry. And I wanted to do that, but that doesn’t mean I won’t play the devil in the movies. There just has to be some kind of moral redemption.
“But the math is so wrong now,” Caviezel added. “It just seems like the evil (of the devil) is winning right now.”

Caviezel remains devoted to God
Caviezel is well aware that his fellow stars in Hollywood may choose to abandon him based on his opinions, but that won’t stop him from continuing to follow God.
“I may not have friends around me when this is over, but I will have (God),” Caviezel said. “He won’t leave me. I’ll watch it then. When I leave this earth, at least I gave the best that I could from God, you know, and from my Heavenly Father. And I want the world to know that I love her. And maybe it’s bad for them. Not to me, but to them.
