It’s been seven years since former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick last played in the NFL, but he says he can’t wait to make a comeback.

Kaepernick says he wants to return to the NFL
Daily mail reported that in a new interview, Kaepernick claimed he always works “five to six days a week” so he can stay ready for a call from an NFL team, should it ever come up.
“I’m going to keep pushing,” said Kaepernick, 35. “I’m going to keep fighting for it because I know I can get on the pitch and play.”
“Every practice, every opportunity I’ve had to show it, the feedback has always been positive,” he added. “Everything from ‘He’s still an elite player’ to ‘Training was great; it was better than expected.
Kaepernick then opened up about the practice he had with the Las Vegas Raiders in May of last year.
“When I did my training with the Raiders last year, even with guys, there’s a decent amount of people who maybe forgot what I was capable of doing on the field, so any chance to be able to remind people of what I can do there, I look forward to and embrace it, and I look forward to the day when I can step onto the pitch and show people what I can do,” did he declare.

Raiders pass on Kaepernick
The Raiders ultimately decided to pass on Kaepernick, entering last season with a quarterback room of Derek Carr, Jarrett Stidham and Chase Garbers.
“I’ve heard a lot of excuses over the years, but most of the time it ends with ‘Oh, we’ll see how the guys we have do,'” Kaepernick complained. “With the Raiders situation last year, it was Stidham and Nick Mullens, who for me, you just compare CVs and abilities, on top of coaching and feedback, it’s like, ‘OK, cool.'”

“Obviously, there is something else in this decision. For me, that’s generally what it ends up being, or has been for the last seven years,” he alleged. “So I just want the opportunity to come in, to show what I can do on the pitch. Judge me based on that, not the political biases you have.
Kaepernick became a household name in 2016 for kneeling during the national anthem before his games as quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. Although he claimed he was doing this to protest racial inequality in America, many saw the move as a clear sign of disrespect for the American flag and those who fought and died for it.
Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since that 2016 season, but in the years since he’s amassed a net worth of $40 million by waking up completely and slamming America at seemingly every opportunity.

Kaepernick hits the NFL
When asked in a recent interview if the NFL had “changed for the better,” Kaepernick responded by saying he had “not seen any substantial change.”
“I think there’s a lot of work to be done on that front. Obviously not playing and being out of the NFL for six years is an indictment of their current situation,” Kaepernick said. , I would not put them at the forefront of goodwill and best intentions in their operation.”

Many would say Kaepernick has no interest in returning to the NFL and instead wants to continue cashing in on being a professional victim. Only time will tell if Kaepernick will ever get the NFL return he claims to so desperately desire.
