Are you ready to learn more about my experience with AirSculpt? We just released my solo episode with all the juicy details about the whole process.
If you follow GI And ICT Tac, you saw that I took you around and gave you daily and weekly updates. You will find a Q&A with Dr. Rollins on my highlighted IG, but surprise, surprise – he’s here today to answer all of our burning AIRSCULPT questions.
We also had it recently on the podcast and it’s fun. It was so cool to talk to him and explain how it all works, the downsides of liposuction, the surgical trends, I mean, we really covered it all. Be sure to listen to it when you’re done here for more.
Before letting Dr. Rollins take over, my experience was INCREDIBLE. Like I said, you can listen to my entire take in this podcast episodenow it’s been a few months since the procedure.
Everything you want to know about AirSculpt
Michael and I flew to Miami for my procedure and I went there thinking I was just going to get my arms and love handles done. Well, I ended up getting my chin and jawline done too. And before I go any further, I just want to say that I did this for me. Many of you were telling me I didn’t need it, or why would I – because I wanted to. There is a way I want to look and feel that is unique to me and I have studied AirSculpt for a long time. I just still want to share the journey because so many people don’t talk about it and pretend it’s just the way they look naturally. Dr. Rollins can confirm the celebrity secret!
Things are just a little chewier after 2 kids. I always eat well and coaching and live a healthy life, but let’s just say things on the body can get stubborn after the kids.
Anyway, before the procedure, there was this gift bag all prepared for me. It was marked, useful, thoughtful and perfect. You know I like a detail. It was full of everything I needed for aftercare and it was so nice.
Was the procedure somewhat painless?
And I have vasovagal so I’m not into needles, but honestly it was like nothing. Then I got picked up at the hotel, directed Michael like he was my butler (so annoyed I forgot my bell) and put on my compression garments.
The next morning, I woke up at a normal time, took a short walk on the beach (you had to go get the positive ions and moving lymphatic system), then we sat around the pool and relaxed. Advil was the only painkiller I took all the time. Basically the pain level was like I had done a super hard workout.
The compression wear was probably the most uncomfortable part. I love a bit of compression here, but while I was sleeping it got really uncomfortable and cut into my skin. A necessary step, however. Yes, I was bloated where I had the procedure, but really, everything was seamless and easy. Every day I was shocked at how painless it was AND the results. I started to really see them after about 2 weeks. Even Stacithe best facialist in San Diego, said that after a lymphatic facial massage, she could see that my jaw line was much more contoured.
Michael was such a soldier, still is, and is never embarrassed by what I do. This photo of me with champagne floats is there but I swear I only had a sip of it. I didn’t drink for a while after the procedure.
The HOT MESS ICE ROLLER helped a lot with the swelling and i tried to walk whenever i could. I really always wanted to move my body to flush out toxins and get the blood flowing – it helps with healing.
All right, enough about me, let’s get to a little Q&A with Dr. Rollins.
Everything you want to know about AirSculpt
♡♡♡
♡ Introduce yourself and tell us how you came to cosmetic procedures.
Aaron Rollin: I’m Dr. Aaron Rollins. I am the founder of AirSculpt Technologies. I have always loved art and in particular sculpture. I actually studied sculpture in school, but then I decided to pursue a career in medicine. Then I discovered that cosmetic surgery combined my love of art and science in a unique way. I think the best cosmetic surgeons are the ones who are not only medically highly skilled, but have the right cosmetic “eye”.
♡ The question we are all dying to know – WHAT IS AIRSCULPT? Can you really detail it for us? How it works?
AR: AirSculpt is a unique minimally invasive body contouring procedure. AirSculpt is more than just a procedure; it’s an experience. From the moment a patient walks through our doors to the moment they leave, the “AirSculpt Experience” is exclusive to Elite Body Sculpt.
This experience includes; our patients being wide awake with no needles, no scalpels, no stitches. Our process aims to remove fat through a very small entry point the size of a freckle, transfer fat safely and proportionately if desired, while awake, and tighten the skin simultaneously with minimal, if any, downtime.
Our cannulas are designed to oscillate internally to essentially pluck fat cell by cell – similar to picking berries from a bush as opposed to liposuction which uses patented and proprietary cannulas that are large, pointed and manually operated by the surgeon, similar to a cheese grater for the skin.
♡ What are the most common places people get AirSculpt?
AR: Our motto is if you can pinch it, we can take it. Anywhere from chin to ankle. Common places include the chin, stomach, and outer hips and thighs.
For men, chin, abdomen and chest. We are also seeing more and more patients who like our fat transfer option where we can remove stubborn fat from areas you don’t want and enhance areas you want to augment such as breasts, hips and buttocks. All the benefits of a BBL or breast augmentation but without introducing foreign substances like saline or silicone.
♡ Are there places where you can’t get AirSculpt? For what?
AR: Above the chin on the face. There are a lot of nerves and different things on the face that you don’t want to upset or damage. Removing fat from the face is also not suggested for the long term as it only hastens the onset of aging since the fat on our face is what maintains the youthful appearance.
♡ Describe your ideal candidate?
AR: Our ideal candidate is honestly anyone who has stubborn body fat they want to get rid of. As long as they are medically qualified by our surgeons, they are most likely candidates. Understanding that this is not a weight loss procedure, but a body contouring procedure is key. After an AirSculpt procedure, we always emphasize a healthy lifestyle.
♡ Explain the recovery process to us?
AR: Our recovery is very short compared to other procedures on the market. Usually our patients are back to work and normal life within 24-48 hours depending on the areas/procedures completed.
Patients must wear a compression garment for 2 weeks (and we want our patients to get up and walk the night of the procedure and continue to walk and exercise during recovery.)
♡ How long does it last? Is it something you need to keep doing?
AR: This is a one-time procedure. It’s permanent in just one session.
♡ What is the average cost?
AR: The cost depends on the patient, the procedure and the amount of fat to be removed. It really is a very individualized procedure.
♡ Are there clinics that perform AirSculpt anywhere in the world?
AR: AirSculpt is offered exclusively by Elite Body Sculpt, the clinic I founded in 2012 in Beverly Hills. Since then, we have expanded to 22 locations in the United States and Canada and our London clinic will open later this spring 2023.
♡ Where can everyone find you and learn more about AirSculpt?
AR: It’s easy just go on airsculpt.com.
