What are you doing this week end? I’m going to get my hair cut this afternoon and I’m going slightly shorter (while essentially maintaining the same haircut I had since the age of four). Then we head to Connecticut to visit Old friends and eat tomato sandwiches. Hope you have a good one – take care – and here are some links around the web…
The new movie tower of joyfeaturing Ashley Park, looks fun.

“American Ballet Theater don’t see me the way I see myself: I am a ballet dancer and a black man, in that order. I left the United States to train at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow when I was 15 so that people would see my talent first and not my skin. It was a naïve dream, I realize now, because unlike painters, whose work can be viewed without their presence, I am both the artist and the work of art, and he cannot there be separation. I love this miracle spraywhich gives your face a naturally dewy look all day long.
have you seen the Copenhagen episode of The Bear, directed by Ramy Youssef? Youssef kept telling everyone that he had worked in a restaurant before (it was Panera Bread at 16).

Also, two comments from readers:
Said Maureen on a fun trick“Come get the items from…Trader Joe! My friends and I test seasonal products (weirdly, we’re not super into pumpkin lol). It’s so much fun and nobody has to cook.
Said Yelena on Virginia Sole-Smith’s Beauty Uniform“Since my eight-year-old daughter started playing sports, she lost part of her baby chub. Recently, our neighbor told her how slim and beautiful she was. I was shooting darts with my eyes, but the lady missed my signals. Later, as I was putting my daughter to bed, she asked me the question and I froze. I didn’t want to demonize thinness any more than being overweight. So I stumbled until my daughter came with a rescue. She said, ‘I just want to be strong, mom. I just want a strong body. Amen to that, kid!
