Have a nice week end! These yellow sailor pants caught my eye at Shopbop, but look like they come in a ton of colors and patterns at many stores. I think where they are hemmed on this model – about 2-3″ above the ankle bone – is perfect.
Yellow is a fun color to wear – white is the obvious choice for a top, but navy and gray are great too. This stripe could also be a fun pattern to mix with another – I might see a fun little floral pattern, or maybe even a tie-dye or a top with embroidered details or a little texture like an eyelet. For my $0.02, I’d avoid wearing it with another geometric pattern like a window pane, another stripe like Breton, or something too “regular” like a polka dot—but that’s just me.
(A yellow top would also be great, as pictured, but I find yellows difficult to wear together unless they’re the exact same shade. Orange or red could also be good options.)
