Determination of finalists
The three most approved people in each award category automatically become finalists. Three additional finalists were selected after multiple rounds of judging by members of the Health Social Network community. Applicants were reviewed and scored based on their suitability for the award category, their use of social media, and their focus on sharing information and promoting engagement.All finalists will be notified individually by email and will receive communications on the next step.
Determination of winners
The 60 Social Health Awards finalists will be reviewed and scored by our finalist jury, made up of professionals and industry experts, to finally discover the top ten Social Health Award winners!Winners will be announced at our virtual conference, Connection, on July 26 and invited to our in-person celebration at the Digital Pharma East Conference in Philadelphia on September 13, 2023.

The Community Cultivator category celebrates online communities or forums that create an inviting space for newcomers while maintaining a safe place that people respect and can rely on. Whether through online support groups, live events, or forum discussions, these leaders have mastered managing, moderating, and engaging their communities in an effort to support others.

Description of the Social Health Award: There’s no “right way” to advocate – and that’s the best part of health leadership. This category aims to recognize the myriad ways in which leaders bring innovation. While endless possibilities exist, we’ve seen leaders lead the way with new products, books, content, events, communities, and collaborations. Pushing boundaries and blazing new trails for others through education, awareness, or community support, these people approach their advocacy by thinking outside the box.

Description of the Social Health Award: Whether it’s posting to Instagram, hosting Facebook Lives, uploading YouTube videos, or piecing together the latest TikTok trend, the Social Media Master category recognizes patients and caregivers who leverage social platforms for the advocacy. This person shares their story and encourages the community through one or more social channels. With so many social features built into the app, we seek to celebrate all the creative ways health leaders are using social media to impact their health areas.

Description of the Social Health Award: There are so many possibilities when it comes to patient advocacy. The Creative Contributor category recognizes individuals who take a creative approach to raising awareness. Think of patient leaders turning their advocacy into clothing, cards, jewelry, comic book creation and more! This category celebrates those who bring advocacy to market.
Rookie of the Year
Description of the Social Health Award: As all activists know, communities are not built overnight! Sharing your story and impacting a community takes time and patience, so encourage those who have recently been empowered to become patient leaders. The Rookie of the Year category celebrates defenders who may be new to the scene, but who continue to show the greatest potential. This category is typically for patient leaders with 1-3 years of experience.
