Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) introduced a new accessory during a hearing Thursday. She had her own version of Jeopardy where she interviewed witnesses about DOD waste and lack of financial accountability.

Porter asked witnesses to choose from topics such as catalysts, where the answer was “people who get rich while pushing to overspend our tax dollars.” The question was: “Who are the defense lobbyists?” Porter also introduced the decade-over-budget F-35 program and other classic DOD waste items.
Rep. Porter, who is also a leading 2024 U.S. Senate contender from California, has been a tireless advocate of government fiscal responsibility who consistently supported waste and special interests during her time in the House. .
Porter and his dedicated staff are constantly coming up with new, sensible ways to explain how government works or doesn’t work for the people it’s supposed to serve.
Katie Porter along with other declared candidates in the California open race would be a very good senator.
Congress needs more people serving like Porter who are willing to ditch the DC lingo and explain things to people in a way they can understand.
The Pentagon wastes a lot of taxpayers’ money and oversight is woefully inadequate.
The funds could be better spent in other places, and Porter is serving the American people well by speaking out against that fact.
