This Saturday we visited friends on fire island…
How pretty is their garden?
The pretty guest bedroom.
Who wants to get started?
The boys throwing a tennis ball, totally indifferent at sunset.
Never look dirty dance at this point lol.
When we got home on Sunday, I asked the boys to write thank you notes to our friends who hosted us. It used to be that writing notes required a lot of pushing and pulling, but now that the boys have gotten used to it, it takes…a little less pushing and pulling?
The formula we have developed is: Dear (names of friends), Thank you very much for (gift, trip or kindness). I loved it (funny thing about gift, travel or cuteness). Love, (your name)
I keep a bunch of cards in a desk drawer, but of course any old piece of paper works fine. Some of the most treasured thank you notes I have received are children’s drawings, and I remember my sister liking condolence cards with children’s illustrationsAlso.
Here are some pretty cards, if you’re looking:
And you? A stationery you like? These painted cards are so, so pretty and each one is different.
