New York Times“Floridas died at a higher age-adjusted rate than residents of nearly every other state during the Delta wave, according to Times analysis. With less than 7% of the nation’s population, Florida recorded 14% of deaths between early July and late October.
“Of the 23,000 Floridians who died, 9,000 were under the age of 65. Despite the governor’s insistence at the time that ‘all of our vulnerable population has been essentially vaccinated,’ a large majority of the 23,000 were unvaccinated or had not yet completed the two-dose regimen.”
