When Democrats picked Joe Biden as their 2020 nominee, they seemed to think he would be perfectly fine. He wasn’t completely crazy, he seemed moderate, he was happy enough hiding in his basement campaigning around President Trump, and he had enough experience in Washington to follow the established order that the moguls of the capital prefer.
