Mayor Eric Adams (D) has denounced the hypocrisy of the Black Lives Matter movement following a series of violence that erupted during the June 19 holiday in New York.
June 19 was the deadliest day this year in the city that never sleeps. Gunfire rang out across the city with 10 gun-related incidents and several people killed.
“Juneteenth was our celebration of emancipation and the end of slavery. It was one of the deadliest days in our city,” Adams lamented.
Among the victims was a 16-year-old boy who was shot at ‘point blank range’ and killed in the Bedford-Stuyvesant Brooklyn neighborhood.

Adams calls out Black Lives Matter
Mayor Adams pointed to the missing outcry of sympathy for black lives from the anti-cop crowd.
“You know, we have to be honest about it. You know what’s interesting? All these anti-police people didn’t raise their voices at all, Black Lives Matter,” he said.
“Black lives matter when innocent people are slaughtered on our streets,” he added. “And I will not continue to be silent.”

Adams, to his credit, consistently spoke out against hypocrisy.
AT flag raising ceremony to honor June 19 last week, he asked the city to “never give in to violence again” and called on citizens to “reflect” on the incidents.
He also implied that the violence was a series of black-on-black crimes.
“The day we recognize our ancestors became one of the bloodiest days of violence in our city,” Adams said. “And the hands of those who inflicted this violence were the hands with which we raise this flag.”
“We cannot believe that it is good to eradicate slavery, but to be a slave to violence in our city and in our country,” he added.

Black Lives Matter promised a “bloodbath”
Last year, Adams took another swipe at the Black Lives Matter movement after a similar day of violence across the city.
“Where is everyone who said ‘black lives matter’?” Adams was fuming. “Do an analysis of who was killed or shot last night. I was up all night talking to my COs in the Bronx, Brooklyn. The victims were black.
The mayor added that those protesting against police brutality must be consistent in their support for victims of crime.
“The lives of those black children who die every night matter,” Adams said. “We cannot be hypocrites.
Oh, but they can and they will.
In contrast to speaking out against violence, a Black Lives Matter leader in the city promised to deliver “bloodshed” in 2021 instead.
In fact, this threat was directed specifically at Adams, a warning that he had better not reactivate the NYPD’s Crime Unit.
“There will be riots,” the BLM leader promised, “there will be fires and there will be bloodshed.”

Or ARE advocates of the Squad’s “defund the police” when violence erupts that affects the black community?
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) remained virtually silent. Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) well she used Juneteenth to claim $14 trillion”starting pointtowards reparations for slavery in America.
She also took the opportunity to call for an end to “police brutality” and demanded that “white supremacy” be taught in this country.
It’s June 16 AND the repairs.
It’s June 16 AND the end of police violence + the war on drugs.
It’s June 19 AND the end of housing + education apartheid.
It’s June 16 AND teach the truth about white supremacy in our country.
Black liberation must be a priority.

Bush made no mention of the violence that shrouded June 19 celebrations across the country – including Saint Louisthat she represents.
The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze.
