Get ready to change your life. It’s this little trick I found to manage stress, reduce cortisol and aggravation around a little situation I couldn’t figure out.
When we first moved to Austin, our doors were slamming 24/7. There was something about open windows and the wind. And doors were slamming out of nowhere all day. It’s just the most shocking and when Zaza started slamming them. And Townes started crawling and slamming them too… I mean, it was too much. Simply awful.
I left to do what I do best: monitor the internet and research the best way to silence a slamming door. At first I tried these little round plastic stickers, but they just didn’t work the way I wanted.
Finally, I found the best looking and easiest to use covers that were designed to do exactly what I wanted them to do: SILENCE A DOOR.
Door silencers: what you didn’t know you needed
These small blankets hang on to every handle, on every side of the door and they make all the difference. They come in neutral colors like white, tan, tan, black. But also in fun colors if your child’s room has a little scheme going on. There’s also purple, pink green and more.
Full disclosure, I’ve been using these for a while. But I did not share this find right away because I was greedy and I was afraid that they would sell out. LOL. Access control is not my MO, you know that. But I really needed to make sure I had enough and then some before I shared, because, YES THEY ARE LIFE CHANGERS.
Advantages of a door silencer:

♡ children won’t get their fingers caught
♡ so crucial if you have a newborn AND a toddler
♡ you won’t hear your SO get up to pee or get water in the middle of the night
♡ & SILENCE!! My god the silence is amazing
Either way, if you don’t have slamming doors in your home left, right, and center, you’re in luck. I’m jealous. Otherwise, these will make your home a much more relaxing place and I highly recommend them.
