Earlier today, we reported that the Supreme Court ruled that the affirmative action programs at Harvard and the University of North Carolina were unconstitutional. Minutes after the decision was made public, Whoopi Goldberg had a complete meltdown on her ABC talk show “The View.”

Just In: The Supreme Court has rules that race-based admissions violate the 14th Amendment. This is a blow to positive action.

Goldberg throws a tantrum

TV line reported that “The View” went live just minutes after the Supreme Court ruling was revealed. Goldberg immediately lost his mind over the decision, focusing his fury on conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

“He doesn’t know what diversity is. That’s what he said, and so he doesn’t understand,” Goldberg, 67, said of Thomas, 75. “Well, let me ask you this question, Judge Thomas: could your mother and father vote in this country? Because if the 14th Amendment had put us on a level playing field, they could have voted. And you know why that changed? Because people have come out and made a change. If we didn’t have to do it, no one would.

“Who wants to be hit by water from a garden hose? Nobody!” she continued. “But that’s what people did to get the vote. So when you say you don’t know what diversity is, I’m saying you’re full of it.

Earlier in this segment, Goldberg tried to make the point that affirmative action is important.

“The 14th Amendment is supposed to promise equal protection, but if everyone was indeed treated equally, we wouldn’t have had to put affirmative action in place,” she said. “People wouldn’t have had to walk and beg and get hosed down and all those things that people did to balance us out with everything that was going on in the country.”

Unfortunately for Goldberg and his fellow woke liberals, there is nothing they can do to bring back their beloved affirmative action. In those landmark decisions, the Supreme Court ruled that Harvard and UNC’s admissions programs violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

The vote was 6 to 3 in the UNC case and 6 to 2 in the Harvard case, as Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson had to recuse herself in the latter because she was on Harvard’s board of supervisors. Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Justice Elena Kagan, both appointed by Barack Obama, each dissented in both cases.

“Both programs lack sufficiently focused and measurable goals to justify the use of race, inevitably employ race in negative ways, involve racial stereotyping, and lack meaningful endpoints,” Roberts wrote in the ruling, according to ABC News. “We never allowed admissions programs to operate in this way, and we will not today.”

SCOTUS CANCEL AFFIRMATIVE ACTION IN COLLEGE ADMISSIONS

In a decision released this morning, the United States Supreme Court struck down affirmative action in college admissions.

“At the same time, as all parties agree, nothing in this notice should be construed to preclude universities from considering an applicant’s discussion of how race has affected their life, whether through discrimination, inspiration or otherwise,” he continued. to say that the court “allowed race-based admissions only within narrow restrictions. University programs must comply with rigorous scrutiny, they can never use race as a stereotype or negative, and – at some point – they must stop.

Goldberg can complain about the decision all she wants, but it’s a huge relief for the millions of Americans who have been negatively impacted by affirmative action for decades. Finally, the next generation of young Americans will be admitted to college on the basis of merit rather than race.

It is truly a momentous day for America!
